This blog post kind of fits with our previous post and teh comments we’ve received so far.

Underground Unknowing. It never ceases to amaze me how narrow-minded the overall perception of music truly is.     Quite an interesting post, kind of funny though that someone opens by lamenting the fact that people don’t understand what this or that genre and then goes on to so wildly misuse the word ‘techno’… when’s the last time a techno track was on the radio one or MTV playlist??

      I think this blogger is probably American where they use some terms a little more loosely than we do this side of the pond. I sometimes think they use the word techno to refer to dance music in the same way that rock can mean almost anything with guitars.

        Hey! Yes at the time of writing I must’ve just put down the first encompassing word that came to my mind. At the time I’d been in a discussion on the same topic and it was full of people who said ‘techo, techno, techno’…ugh (especially when I was trying to explain ‘DnB’). Definitely not an American btw!
