BT and TalkTalk challenge Digital Economy Act

July 8, 2010

The Digital Economy Act was pushed through the UK Parliament in the last days of the New Labour regime at the behest of a handful of powerful media companies and record labels. Despite every commentator (across the political spectrum and from various viewpoints regarding filesharing) saying it was badly conceived, badly drafted and open to abuse, it was passed anyway. Such is the state of British democracy.
