Twitter as a tool for promoting your music or band

February 19, 2009

Post by Guy Cross

With the spiraling growth of micro-blogging site Twitter, people like us are forced to come up with ways to abuse its functionality for our own ends.

One of the reasons Twitter has grown is that the owners are very liberal about the way people use the site. They created a really good tool and then let users dream up ways of using it for all it’s worth (an idea we should all take on board).

Make Use Of have posted an interesting set of links regarding the incorporation of music into Twitter . I really liked the idea of finding ways to abuse this site:

Twiturm is unlike Twisten or Songly in that it allows users to upload a song(s) and then share it on Twitter.

Has anyone else come up with a good way of pimping your music on Twitter?
